He was predeceased by: his brother Bruce Ives; and his parents, Paul James and Dorothy Irene Shelton (Gibson). He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Dawn Bingham (Gary), Kevin Shelton (Hanayo), Shawn Shelton-Ferris (Ken), Deann Craw (Jeff), Todd Shelton, Brent Shelton and Heather Shelton (Jimmy Carter); his grandchildren, Samantha Messer (Jessie), Joey Bingham (Willow), Ashley, Amber and Blake Musyj; his great grandchildren, Ava and Aubrey Musyj; and his brother-in-law Marvin Percha (Marie).

Memorial contributions may be directed to Salvation Army or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
