She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Wierenga and Rebecca Wierenga (Bishop); her husband Lowell Jefferson Zimmer; her son Dave Zimmer; her daughter-in-law Teri; her siblings, Doris "Dorrie" Trinker, Gertrude "Trudy" Farrar, Jacob "Bud" Wierenga and Kenneth Wierenga; her grandson Jesse Lee Zimmer; and her great grandchild Bethann Marie Zimmer.

She is survived by: her son Thomas "Tom" Zimmer (Mary Ann); her grandchildren, Nikki, Wendy and Shawn; and her brother Robert Wierenga. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
