He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marla Schindler; his sons, Matthew Schindler (Lindsay), Bryan Schindler (Christina) and Jeffrey Schindler (Emmy); his grandchildren, Madeleine, Ari, Lucas, Sammy, Maxwell, Mia and Nolan; his sister Ronna McFalls (late Charles); his sister-in-law Linda Plasko; and his parents, Florence Schindler and Edward Schindler. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM and at 7:00 PM. Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Residence of Matthew and Lindsay Schindler (25420 Parkwood Dr, Huntington Woods, MI 48070).
