He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Kominars; his children, Aron Kominars (Arlene), Sara Bordener (Dan Voss), Jack Kominars (Rachel), Steven Kominars (Allison), Matthew Kominars (Lisa), Geoffrey Siegel and Stephanie Brovenick; and his brother-in-law Harold Schwartz (late Molly).

A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hebrew Memorial Chapel (26640 Greenfield Rd, Oak Park, MI 48237). A memorial gathering was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Home of Aron and Arlene Kominars (4265 Arbour Dr, Commerce Township, MI 48390).
