Barbara Bensman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Bensman of Oak Park, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Solomon Bensman; her son Frederick Joel Bensman; her siblings, Eloise Blumberg (late Selwyn), Hermina Shugol (late Joseph) and Gilbert Rose (late Arlene); her parents, Benjamin Rose and Bessie Rose; and her nephew Stuart Bensman.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Bensman-Rowe (Paul Rowe), Marcie Bensman-Massetti (Don Massetti) and Daryl Bensman (Marcie Goldsmith); her grandchildren, Alison Rowe Ackley (Taylor), Julia Meadows Rowe and Ryan Bensman; her great grandchildren, Calvin Ackley and Charlie Rowe; her sibling's children, Myril Husser, Ronna George, David Shugol, Wendy Shugol, Melinda Adams, Debi Ankney, Peter Rose, Michael Rose, Dan Rose, Susan Miller, Paul Bensman, David Zweigel and Pam Zieman; her son Jose Hochman; her stepgranddaughters, Rachel Massetti and Sarah Weaver (Chris); and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Tahlia Massetti, Evan Weaver and Jacob Weaver.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ira Kaufman Chapel (18325 W Nine Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48075). For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
