He is survived by : his children, Beth, David Rodgers and Robert Alter; his grandsons, Evan Rodgers, Jared Rodgers and Noah Rodgers; his siblings, Jan, Larry Greenberg, Peggy and Danny Palter; his former life partner Marla Alter; and his friend Cheryl Schwartz.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Hebrew Memorial (26640 Greenfield Rd, Oak Park, MI 48237). A reception was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

On Thursday, the family will gather between the hours of 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. with a Religious Service at 7 P.M.
