He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Somers Jr. (Kathryn) and Lorraine Taylor (Hutchinson); and his brothers, Bill Somers, Larry Somers, Gary Taylor and Barry Taylor.
He is survived by: his daughter Bridget Rogers; his grandchildren, Andrea Tobias (Jason) and Harold Chapman; his great grandchildren, Allianna Rogers, Aiden Tobias, Jason Tobias Jr., Dakota Tobias and Olivia Tobias; his siblings, Wayne Somers (Andrea), Nora Spencer (Randy), Sarah Hobson (Robert), Michele Hart (Edward), Margaret Duford (Ross) and Marilyn Kantzer (Kurt); and his sister-in-law Rebecca Robinette (Glenn). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
