With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alan J. Wolfe of Okemos, Michigan, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on November 2, 2023. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alan J. Wolfe to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ethel Wolfe-Cohen and Benjamin Wolfe; his parents-in-law, Helen and Abraham Sommers; and his grandson Benjamin Lamb.

He is survived by : his wife Gail Wolfe (Sommers); his children, Rustin Wolfe (Allison Kaplan), Kyle Wolfe (Heydy), Lauren Lamb (Casey) and Kami Schneider (David); his grandchildren, Oscar, Ezra, Aiden, Claire, Austin, Colton, Josie, Nolan, Wesley, Zelda and Quinton; and his brother Harvey Wolfe (Elaine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Shaarey Zedek Sisterhood (for the Ethel Wolfe Kitchen Fund) or the American Heart Association.

“With deep sadness, we learned of the loss of Allen. He was extremely considerate, kind and supportive of many people throughout our lives in the community. He was intelligent, stood strongly for his ideals and beliefs, and was a valuable member of our congregation. We valued. always the support Allen and Rustin provided when they joined us unexpectantly for the burial of my father in Saint Paul, MN.
