He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Oliver and Alba Estrella Durocher; and his wife Wanda E. "Wendy" Welter. He is survived by: his siblings, Dianne Louise Charles VanFulpen (Richard), Charles Oliver Durocher, Jr. (Cindy), Yvette Marie Schroeder, Dennis Anthony Durocher (Sara), Lorraine Cecile Durocher (Greg McDonald), Andrew Paul Durocher and Gerard Jerome Durocher. He is also survived by eight nephews; two nieces; five great nephews; and six great nieces.

“Mike was a gifted athlete with a lot of spirit and a great smile. He was a member of all three of Okemos High School’s state champion wrestling teams, winning an individual state championship in 1967. He also set a school record in the high jump. Mike’s energy and enthusiasm sometimes led to trouble, which at one point cost him an eyebrow (it grew back). Warm memories and condolences from the McGilliard brothers, Mike, (OHS class of ’65), Scott (’67), and Kip (’69) and sister, Tricia Hedin (’71)”
