He was predeceased by: his parents, Hinreka "Reka" Buhs (Bartel) and Hie Buhs; his brothers, Ervin and Dean Buhs; and his parents-in-law, Elmer and Eileen Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Stacy Fernandez (Carlos) of East Lansing and Todd Buhs (Jennifer) of Okemos; his grandchildren, Isabela, Alex, Eva, Leo Fernandez and Adaline Buhs; and his sister Donna Price (Gary). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 5:00 PM.
