She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Ortiz and Dolores Cerda Figueras (Rodriguez); and her brother Xavier Figueras. She is survived by: her siblings, Violet Hawkins (Charles), Oscar Figueras (LaTia) and Marcellus Figueras (Melinda); her stepsister Carol Weir; and her stepnephew Christopher Piotrowicz. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
