She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley H. Garthe and Jorunn E. Garthe (Norson); and her husband John Selby Homer. She is survived by: her children, Anna McBride (Rusty) of Whitehall, Arthur Homer (Autumn) of Battle Creek, Elizabeth Homer of Washington, DC, Andrew Homer (Zainab) of Augusta, Georgia and Katherine Homer (Braendon Hook) of Hastings; her grandchildren, Sean McBride, Sam McBride, Easton Homer, Kirby Homer, Gavin Homer and Elanora Homer; and her siblings, Marlene Mayer (William) of Petoskey, Barbara "Bunny" Hartshorn of Holtville and Stuart Garthe of Kalamazoo, Michigan.. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Olivet Congregational Church (125 College St, Olivet, MI 49076). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
