She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren "Ted" Skinner and Myrtle "Jean" Skinner; her husband David Ayotte; her sister Phyllis Gaudette; the father of her children James P. Gunter Sr.; and her husband Colin "Collie" Brooks.

She is survived by: her children, James "Jim" Gunter Jr., Debbie Artrip (Don) and Randy Gunter; her grandchildren, Emily Umbarger, Katie Robinson (Brian), Michael Artrip (Jenny), Heather Notter (Brad), Angela Lively (Chad), Laurie McMannen (Troy), Bonnie Gunter, Shanna Gunter, Morgan Boughner (Chris), Brooks Stevenson and Amber Richardson (Jason); and her great grandchildren, Lily (Jacob), Iris, Jake, Joey, Trip, Claire, Peggy, Bonnie and Harrison.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 3605 N Lynn St, Onaway, MI 49765.
