He was predeceased by : his parents, Noah Furtah and Shirley Furtah (Burby); his siblings, Sally and William "Pee Wee" (English); and his pet Mya.

He is survived by : his wife Laura Ann O'Connor of Onaway; his daughters, Sheena S. Furtah Hughes (Charles) of Saginaw and Ashley Posey of Algonac; his grandchildren, Teryana, Jersey, Brandon, Brenleigh, Cali, Brooklyn, Shawn and Neil Jr.; his pet Bailey; and his siblings, Jeri Rose (Martin) of Marine City, Ron Furtah (Bev) of Marine City and Rick Furtah of Marine City.
