He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Showalter and Grace Showalter (Deal); his wife Cheryl G. Hasty; his daughters, Charlene DeRosia and Lori Cebula; and his sister Kathleen Showalter.
He is survived by: his sons, Andrew "Sandy" Showalter (Linda), Greg Gale (Teri), Troy Gale (Amber Giles) and Scott Gale; his sons-in-law, John DeRosia and Melvin Cebula; his sister Marilyn Acker (Bill); his grandchildren, Hope Showalter, Cheryl Showalter, Rachel Lindeman (Jamie), Corey Gale (Marlee), Ryan Cebula (Jessica), Cheryl Dunham, Stewart Cebula, Crystal Evans (Matt), Nathan Cebula (Rose), Joshua Cebula (Makayla), John DeRosia Jr. (Kendra Mallison), Jeremy DeRosia (Jessica), Haley Nielsen (Charles), Christoper Gale and Alissa Gale; and his friend Mary Ann Herkelrath Krolczyk. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Jerome's honor to Onekama Church of the Brethren, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Onekama Lions Club.
