We are sad to announce that, on March 21, 2026, at the age of 87, Walter Melvin Mead of Onondaga, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Walter shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Walter farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Mead and Gladys Mead (Stouffer); his wife Phyllis Anne Mead; and his son-in-law David Hamilton. He is survived by: his children, Diane Hamilton of Onondaga, Daniel Mead (Vivian) of Albion, Sandra Carrick (Mark) of Charlotte and Jeanne Mead (Bill McAllister) of Onondaga; and his sister Della Mergener of Eaton Rapids. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
