She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Hayes (Buck) and Sigrid Hayes; her husband Tom (Zimmerman); her siblings, Richard Hayes, John Hayes and Beatrice Lepola (Joan); and her children, Steven Johnson and Rebecca Lindberg (Becky).

She is survived by : her daughters, Toole, Marilyn Swann (Wayne), Barbara Flahive (Tim), Karen Walden (Dave) and Janet Petersen (Bob). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
