He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William F. Strong and Gertrude Strong (Helmbrecht); his parents-in-law, Cecelia Larson (DeCaire) and Phillip Larson; his brother Dr. James P. Strong; his sister-in-law Flossie Strong; his sister Mary "Lynne" Makimaa (Strong); and his brothers-in-law, Larry Makimaa, Roger Menigoz, Don Larson and Keith Larson.
He is survived by: his wife Clarice "Charlie" Strong (Larson); his sons, Christopher Strong and Greg Strong (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Adella Starakiewicz (Peter), Marina Strong, Trevor Strong (Ayla), Nicolas Strong (Alexis) and Alex Strong; and his sister-in-law Sharon Larson. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
