He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Rick Mich (Duke); and his parents, Doyle Hurst and Willie Mae Hurst. He is survived by: his wife Rose; his children, Nick Hurst (Lindsay), Jenny Madden (Ryan) and Richie Hurst (Melissa); his grandchildren, Lincoln, Nolan, Logan, Elle, Jameson, Benny and Mitch; and his siblings, Gloria Driver (late Bill), Kenneth Hurst (Melissa) and Nancy Mezza (Joe). He is also survived by his family and by the many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Modetz Funeral Home Silverbell Chapel (100 E Silverbell Rd, Orion Twp, MI 48360). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church - Auburn Hills (3400 S Adams Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326). A procession was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at the White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery.
