He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendall Cupp and Odella Cupp. He is survived by: his wife Laurie A. Smith; his children, Gina Cupp, Sharon Hamlin, Daniel Cupp and James Johnson (Heather); his grandchildren, Amber, Alexandra (A. J.), Jessica (Houston), Savannah and Kade; and his great grandchildren, Hadley and Hayden.

Any memorial contributions can be directed to the Disabled Vets or the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
