He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt Girdham and Alma Girdham (Allen); his wife Betty Schuster; his son Mike Hanna; his sons-in-law, Digger Odell and Ken LaNew; and his siblings, Rose Jackson, Betty Hamilton, Linda Hodge, Mike Girdham and Jim Girdham.
He is survived by: his children, Leaann Zimmerman (Mark) of Hudson, Dawn LaNew (Doug McColley) of Hillsdale, Susan Odell of Harrison Township and Jim Hanna of Fountain; and his brothers, Ronnie Girdham of Osseo and George Girdham of Coldwater. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home (40 S Manning St, Hillsdale, MI 49242). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
