He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sr. Olson and Hazel Olson (McDonald); his wife Sharon; and his brothers, Norman "Lefty" Olson and James Olson.

He is survived by: his children, Debra Compeau, Daniel Olson and Douglas Olson; his stepdaughter Tracie Porath (Mark); his grandchildren, James Compeau, Jeffery Compeau (Sydney), Jordan Compeau, Jacob Compeau (Kayla Keen), Dustin Olson (Mackenzie), Keegan Gilmore, Nicole Spencer (Don), Courtnee Birdsley, Kyle Flynn and Kendra Warner (Greg); his nieces, Ellen Smith, Kaye Lince, Cindy Arlt and Kristen Syma; Wayne Girard. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gillies Funeral Home (104 W Alger St, Lincoln, MI 48742).
