He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alpena and Elizabeth Silver (Henry); his wife Carol Silver; his siblings, Robert, Thomas Silver and Catherine Silver (Jim Erskine) of Weaverville, NC.; his siblings' children, Roxanne Turpen of Asheville, NC, Lauren Silver (Jeremy Turner) of Seattle, WA and Alex Silver (Cara Scozzafava) of Portland, ME; his great-nephew Evander Elzie of Manassas, VA; his siblings-in-law, Ken Ristau (Deanne) of Omak, WA, Janet Carson (Tom) of Colorado Springs, CO and Terry Porter (John Schroeder) of Colorado Springs, CO; his siblings' children, Nicole Burnette (Derrick) of Colorado Springs, CO, Kyle Carson of Colorado Springs, CO and Jacob Carson of Avon, IN; his aunt Carol Norkowski of Perrysburg, OH.; his niece Tracy Turpen; and his close friend Carol Ristau. He was also cherished by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bannan Funeral Home (222 S 2nd Ave, Alpena, MI 49707). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In memory of Carl and in lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for a donation to NEMROC, Friends Together, and/or the Besser Museum.
