It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Walter Vredenburg of Ossineke, Michigan, who passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Vredenburg and Thaida Vredenburg (Wilds) of Ossineke; and his siblings, Ken Vredenburg, Lyle Vredenburg, Shirley Burns, Jeannie Joy and Judy Fettes.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley Truman Vredenburg; his children, Thomas Vredenburg (Heather), Ronald, Randy Vredenburg (Susan) and Karen Cole (Pete); his grandchildren, Erin Henderson (Jake), Evan Bobola, Renee Holloway (Sean), Nathan Vredenburg, Sarah Vredenburg, Megan Vredenburg, Ryan Vredenburg and Erica York (Andy); his great grandchild Lucy Henderson; his sisters, Dorothy Foster (William) and Verla Keller; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanette Vredenburg and Carl Joy.
