He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Bartz and Clara Bartz (Dege); his children, Richard "Rick" Bartz Jr. and Lisa Bartz; and his brothers, Gary Bartz and Randy Bartz.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his sons, Mark Bartz (Kendra) and Scott Bartz (Susan); his grandchildren, Brittany Moore, Nathan Bartz, Lindsey Ferris (Sean), Monica Bartz (Will Talaske) and Ethan Abrehart; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Moore, Kensi Moore and Bennett Talaske; and his siblings, Louis Bartz, Lawrence Bartz, Darrell Bartz (Reiko) and Christine Pake (Charlie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
