With solemn reverence, we commemorate Mary N. Herner of Otisville, Michigan, whose life came to an end on October 21, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Mathews and Dolores Mathews (Brown); her husband William "Bill" Herner; her son-in-law Steve Spiris; and her siblings, Harvey Mathews, Jr., Melvin "Dick" Mathews, Darrell Mathews, Tom Mathews and Karen Campbell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy McClain (Terry), Kim Spiris and Kay Ross (Steve); her grandchildren, Brent McClain (Alicia), Craig McClain (Becky), Alicia Petker (Aric), Jonathan Spiris (Megan), Jacqueline Ross and Stephanie Ross (Gavin Farmer); her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Abby, Bailey, Brooklyn, Lila, Frankie, Margo, Ashley and Jessica; and her siblings, Jan Adams, Juanita Mathews, Lorena Hiller (Steve), Cindy Adkins (Tom) and Dan Mathews (Carol). She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (9136 Davison Rd, Davison, MI 48423). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice, in Rita's memory.
