He was predeceased by : his parents, Maynard Church and Harriett Church (Carroll); his wife Jewell Mercer; his children, Randy and Darlene Tippett; his granddaughter Sheila Church; his great grandchild Meghan Tippett; his siblings, Beryl "Sis" Ivancik, Joann, Ted and Craig "Bud" Church; and his pet Babe.

He is survived by : his son Charles E. Church, Jr.; his grandsons, Brendan Tippett and Justen Tippett; and his brothers, Bob of Chicago and Rick (Fran) of Millington.
