She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Adams and Margarethe Adams (Marx); her spouse Thomas Karkau; her granddaughters, Danielle Docekal and Meichen Plumhoff; her son-in-law Doug Hendrixson; and her siblings, Ginny, Bill and Carla.

She is survived by: her children, Darl Doubblestein (Karen) of Luther, Juanita Hendrixson (Doubblestein) of Otsego and Steven Doubblestein of Otsego; her stepdaughters, Terri Karkau of Washington and Kristin Goodman (Dave) of Lansing; and her siblings, Shirley Elman, Donna Dean and David Adams. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren.
