He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ernest Keller Thaxton (Ike) and Harriet Janette Thaxton; his wife Colleen; his children, Anthony (Becky) of Holland Michigan, Sally Betzner of Plainwell, Rodney (Kathy) of Otsego and Christine Zeeryp (Gary) of Holland; his grandchildren, Brian Betzner, Jennifer Thaxton Bird, Ikeca Hull, Joshua Thaxton and Andrea Thaxton Vetter; and his great grandchildren, Oliver, Ava Bird, Jacari Campbell, Mary and Josiah Hull.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Otsego Congregational Church (120 W Morrell St, Otsego, MI 49078).
