Vera Marie Russell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2025, at the age of 96, Vera Marie Russell of Otsego, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Chadderdon and Bernice Chadderdon (Dhaenes); and her husband Kenneth Lee Russell. She is survived by: her children, Donald L. Russell (Patricia) of Otsego, Shirley A. Kaleward of Okeechobee, FL, Bruce Russell (Deborra) of Otsego and Richard R. Russell of Brohman, MI.; her adoptive daughter Jackie S. Payne; and her sisters, Margaret M. Ecker of Kalamazoo and Janet Chadderdon. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Winkel Funeral Home (207 E Allegan St, Otsego, MI 49078). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Ambrose Church (1628 E G Ave, Parchment, MI 49004).
Contributions in memory of Vera may be directed to the Sisters of St. Joseph in Kalamazoo or to Centrica Rose Arbor Hospice.
