He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Shull (Kevin), Lyndy Walling (Jason), Nancy VanSickle (Brandon) and Nathan Barnhizer (Meghan); and his siblings, Thomas Barnhizer (Meg), Ronald Barnhizer (Mary), Richard Barnhizer (Elen), Anita Barnhizer, Beverly Barnhizer, Peggy Tscherne (Mitch) and Judy Clark (Ron). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
