James Venus Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Venus of Otter Lake, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 22, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicolas Venus and Betty Venus; his brother Nick Venus; and his pets, Saddie and Shags.

He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Venus; his children, Jamie Barta, Jimmy Venus (Leslie), Jessie Venus (Adam Morrow), Ashley Burnham (Chris Puranen) and Michael Burnham; his grandchildren, Jasmine (Jarred), Cloe, Devon, James III, Isaac, Ethan, Connor, Riley, Charlotte and Brooklyn; his siblings, Dave Venus and Nancy Boledovich (Joe); his siblings-in-law, Holly Harris and Paul Harris; and his pets, Kizzy Lou and MeSha.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jim and Stephanie's church, Sinner Saved Ministries, in memory of Jim.
