Carol Lorene Batterbee Obituary
We announce the death of Carol Lorene Batterbee of Ovid, Michigan, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 80. Carol will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Clayton and Mary Lela Cooper (Davis); her husband James "Jim" Batterbee; her son Cleatus Batterbee; and her siblings, Roger Cooper, Martha Salisbury, Bud Cooper, Bill Cooper, Jack Cooper, Lela Wheeler, Ralph Cooper and Patsy Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Carrie Beth Turner (Craig), Jessica Cameron (Gabe), Amanda Cushman (Kenn) and Bill Jacobson (Trish); her siblings, Birt Cooper (Arlyene) and Steven Cooper; her grandchildren, Jesse Ruth Willour (Eric), Aiden Cushman, Reagan Cushman, Opal Cushman, Ian Turner, Charlie Cameron, Chloe Cameron and Brady Cameron; and her great grandchildren, Eric Willour Jr., Karsyn Willour and Brayden Willour. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (232 E Oak St, Ovid, MI 48866). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at the Middlebury Township Cemetery (8700 W Krouse Rd, Ovid, MI 48866).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
