He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Shepard and Beatrice Shepard (Ostrander); his wife Joyce Waterbury; his son Albert Allan Shepard; and his siblings, Donald, Kenneth, Dewayne Shepard and Barbara Warren.
He is survived by: his children, Jane Schlaack (John) of Perry, Roger Shepard (Rose) of Owosso, Karen Rathbun (Brian), Lorri Desruisseaux (Michel) of Mesa, Dennis Shepard (Jan) and Shari Self (Greg) of Bay City; his daughter-in-law Margaret Shepard; and his sister Thelma Glick (Larry) of Perry. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren.
