She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ellis and Louise Ellis (Wondal); her husband Earl Schooley Jr. (Pink); her daughter Cynthia Butcher; and her sons-in-law, Jackson Evans and Bill Butcher, Sr..

She is survived by: her daughters, Veronica Evans and Laura Duffield (Sandy); her grandchildren, Norman Merlet (Josie), Ian Merlet, Bill Butcher (Ann), Melissa Belmer (Mike), Nathanael Duffield (Jade), Caleb Duffield (Ashley) and Grace Strachan (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Madison, Cady, Sam, Brooke, Cynthia Butcher, Jack Belmer, Carter, Eliana Duffield, Rowen Duffield and Bauer Strachan; and her siblings, Laurae Brown (Gene) and Keith Ellis.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Respite, Hospice of Shiawassee County.

I kept in sporadic touch throughout these many years and visited with her frequently when she was at Oliver Woods where my mother was living also. We always joked regardless of what age we were.
