He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Shane and Laura Shane (Belle); his wife Judy Shane (Cords); his stepfather Clyde Bradshaw; his stepbrother Billy Patterson; and his brother-in-law Bob Hawkins.
He is survived by: his children, Calvin Sprague (Jalil), Heather Klockziem (Robert) and Heidi White (Chad); his grandchildren, Kali, Jacob, Cassie, Carly, Aaliyah, John, Noah and Eric; his great grandchildren, Easton and Eylon; his siblings, Dick Patterson (Violet) of Arkansas, Eleanor Kareus of Corunna and Beverly Hawkins of Corunna; and his grandmother Frost (Preston) of Chesaning.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nelson-House Funeral Home (120 E Mason St, Owosso, MI 48867). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shiawassee Humane Society, honoring David's beloved dog, Chrissy.
