Elizabeth A. Rancour Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 9, 2025, at the age of 85, Elizabeth A. Rancour of Owosso, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas McAvoy and Dorothy McAvoy (Weisenberger); her husband Arthur D. Rancour; her former husband Walter Charkut; her stepson Rob Rancour; and her brother Pat McAvoy.
She is survived by: her children, Therese and Thomas Charkut (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Evan, Rylan and Brennan; her stepdaughter Sherry Dickman (Phil); her stepdaughter-in-law Peggy Rancour (Rob); her stepgrandchildren, Amber, Grace, Bradley and Karli; her stepgreat-granddaughters, Emily and Alina; and her siblings, Joe McAvoy (Wendy) and Janet Krastins (Vilnis). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with numerous loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nelson-House Funeral Home (120 E Mason St, Owosso, MI 48867). A rosary was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (111 N Howell St, Owosso, MI 48867).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shiawassee Foundation Elizabeth Ippy Rancour Memorial Fund.
