It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet E. Hier of Owosso, Michigan, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet E. Hier to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Bailey and Lenore Bailey (Dust); her sons, Kevin, Scott and Aaron James; her granddaughter Ariana Leigh-Andra; and her siblings, Duane Bailey and Joanne Myers.
She is survived by: her husband Erwin Hier; her sons, Christopher, Shane (Steve), Jason (Michelle) and Andrew Hier (Stefanie); her daughter-in-law Michelle Hier; and her siblings, Marti (Glaister), Don Bailey (Diana), Sharon Datzko (John) and David Bailey (Rosemary). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Nelson-House Funeral Home (120 E Mason St, Owosso, MI 48867). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
