She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilber Nixon and Susie Nixon; her husband Vernal Walker; her granddaughter Nicole Bates; her great grandchildren, Sawyer Walker, Keigan Atkinson and Tyler Coffey; and her children-in-law, Terry Walker and John Leonard.

She is survived by: her children, Shelly Burns (Jim) of Webberville, Rosemary Leonard (John) of Owosso, Vernal Jr. Walker (Mary) of Owosso, Dennis Walker (Amy) of Owosso and George Walker (Sarah) of Owosso; and her sister Beverly Pendergrass. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
