He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ebin and Dawn Mae Porritt (Hamady); his spouse Shirley Coline Mills; his sons, Steven and Thomas Limmer; his granddaughter Dominique; and his siblings, Dawn Holcomb and Tony Porritt.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Porritt of Flint, Mark Porritt of Warren, Philip Porritt of Grand Blanc, Paul Porritt (Lisa) of Mt. Morris, Rachel Southerland (Bill) of Owosso, David Limmer (Sheila) of Mt. Morris and Lori Limmer of Lansing; and his siblings, Mary Porritt of Port Huron and Raymond Porritt of Marine City. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
