He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jocko" Painter and Amanda Painter (Bacon); his sister Becky Nicol (Ray); his parent-in-law Lial Pearson (Edith); and his sister-in-law Paulette Pearson.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Pearson; his sons, Chad Painter (Lisa) of Fargo, N. D., Ryan Painter (Laura Haynes) and Troy Painter of Owosso; his grandchildren, A. J., Michael, Christopher, Noah and Ella; his siblings, Bill Knudsen (Bev), Jackie Nolf (Don), Stacey Tyler (Tim), Deborah Dark and Bonnie Painter; and his siblings-in-law, Marilynn Yarmak (Bill) and Bill Pearson (Sandy). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
