He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Edward and Helen M. Kauffman (Davidhizar); and his siblings, Wayne Kauffman, Janet Zimmerman and Nancy Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue (Link); his daughter Laurel Cummings (Roger) of Owosso; his adoptive daughter Gaelle Purro (Cedric) of Estavayer, Switzerland; his sister Doris Reese (Allen) of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Brendan, Brady Cummings, Juliette and Capucine Purro; and his nieces and nephews, Beth, Christi, Lisa, Tracey, Bruce, Debra, Carolyn, Mary Jane and Jim.
