She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Chunko and Anna Chunko (Gegeny); her husband Leonard Wesley Schmidtfranz; her sons, Richard Allen Schmidtfranz and Timothy John Schmidtfranz; and her brothers, Raymond Chunko and Robert Chunko.
She is survived by: her children, Rodger Schmidtfranz of Ovid, Randy Schmidtfranz (Laurie) of Owosso, Gary Schmidtfranz (Cathy) of Henderson, Connie Luckhurst (Dan) of Owosso and Cindy Brewbaker (Rick); and her brothers, Anthony Michael Chunko (Joyce) of Corunna and John Chunko of Lake City. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 12:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel (520 W Main St, Owosso, MI 48867). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
