With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Marie Gemmel of Oxford, Michigan, born in Mayville, Michigan, who passed away on April 11, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Alton and Dorothy; her husband Webster Gemmel; and her sister Joyce Zarnick. She is survived by : her children, Anna Katich (Bruce), David Gemmel, Donna Cassar (Mike), Linda Sadler (Dave) and Brenda Green (Jim); and her brothers, Kenneth Young (late Peggy) and Charles Young (Norma). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Village Funeral Home (135 South St, Ortonville, MI 48462). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
