He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Burr and Wanda Burr; and his brother William Burr. He is survived by: his wife Janice Burr; his son Jeff Burr (Sheri); his grandchildren, Anna Schindler (Stephen), Johnny, Abby, Lydia, Noah, Mia and Micah; his great grandchildren, Brooks and Ada Schindler; his siblings, Melodee Dunn (Mike) and Mark Burr (Allison); and his sister-in-law Kristine Burr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
