He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Jane; his children, Gregory (Vickie) and Gay Kent (Joseph); his grandchildren, Carl Pence (Joni), Steven Pence (Marlayna), Myra Kent and Michael Kent; and his sibling Thomas Pence (late Lucille).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Robert's name to the First United Methodist Church of Garden City.
