We bid farewell to María Luisa Zúñiga (Parchment, Michigan), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 25, 2024 at the age of 88. María Luisa touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel M. Arriagada and Luisa J. Arriagada (Gutierrez). She is survived by: her extended family, Miguel, Eliana Paz, Mariadela and Andrés; her husband Roberto Zúñiga; her father-in-law Roberto Zúñiga; her children, María Luisa (Mari) and Roberto Manuel; her family, Roberto, Jennifer Zúñiga, Mari Zúñiga and José Angel Nuncio; her stepdaughters, Carmen Zúñiga Dunlap, Burnie Dunlap and Jennifer Zúñiga; her grandchildren, Sabrina, Marvin Guanio, Madeline Carswell, Gabriela, Tony Martinez, Ferris and Bassil Ramadan; and also, Bobby, Andrés and Adriana.
In 1964 she was awarded a prestigious fellowship from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to complete her Master of Nursing, Public Health Nursing at UC Los Angeles.
