He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon McConnell and Verna McConnell (Keilitz); and his siblings, Patricia Blue, Norma Speirs, Ira McConnell (Leigh) and Donald McConnell.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Small; his children, Theresa Hrebicik (Scott), Laura Fincke (Richard) and Timothy McConnell (Chic); his grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Richard Fincke Jr., Ryan Fincke, Amber Coleman, Jordan Hrebicik, Keturah Hrebicik, Mackenzie Hrebicik, Maggie Hrebicik, Sean McConnell, Ian McConnell and James McConnell; his great grandchildren, Isabella Fincke, Scarlet Fincke and Alexander Smith; and his sisters, Melva Guinther and Peggy Nordquist.
