She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Rickli and Anna Rickli (Siegfried); her former husband Chuck Shoemaker (Jesse Charles); her son Jerry Charles Shoemaker; and her siblings, Anne Wells, Dorothy Levett, Alice McCaffery and Walter Rickli.
She is survived by: her husband Jesse Charles Shoemaker; her children, Thomas Shoemaker (Tonda Boothby) and Mary Burpee (Tim Burpee) of Snohomish, WA; her daughter-in-law Deborah Shoemaker of Mason, MI; her brothers, Jacob Rickli of Kalamazoo and James Rickli; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Burpee, Jeffrey Burpee of Snohomish, WA, Alison Palmer (Shoemaker) of Chantilly, VA, Benjamin Shoemaker of Holt, MI, Jesse Boothby Shoemaker of Benton Harbor and Lexis Fath (Boothby-Shoemaker). She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In retirement, both volunteered at The Discovery Shop operated by the American Cancer Society.
