With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruby Ellen Johnson of Paw Paw, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 30, 2026 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Yates and Ruby Russell (Newnum); and her husband William Samuel Johnson Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Ramona Perkins (Shane Nix) and Michael Smith (Kimberly Smith); her grandchildren, Brandon Smith (Katie), Brad Wydra (Taylor), Tiffany Hanners, Samantha Perkins (Ricky Saunders) and Andrew Collins (Kayla Sweinhart); her great grandchildren, Nevaeh Veenkant, Brooke Pio, Everly and Grace Wydra; and her brothers, James Yates (Sandy) and Richard Yates. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
